Warranty Policy

Every new machine we sell carries at least a 12-month warranty. Here is what that covers, what it does not, and how to claim.

Last updated: 10 August 2026

1. What is covered

New products come with a manufacturer warranty of at least 12 months from the date of delivery, covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Some manufacturers offer longer, the period that applies to your product is shown on its product page and in the paperwork supplied with it.

ComponentTypical cover
Frame and structural parts12–24 months
Motor, controller and electronics12 months
Battery pack6–12 months against defect (capacity loss through normal cycling is not a defect)
Charger12 months
Refurbished items3–6 months, stated on the product page

2. What is not covered

  • normal wear and tear, and consumables: filters, brushes, mop pads, mower blades, spa filters and covers, grill grates, igniter batteries and bulbs;
  • accident, crash, impact or drop damage;
  • water ingress beyond the product's stated IP rating, and corrosion from wet storage;
  • damage from using a charger other than the one supplied or an approved equivalent;
  • batteries left fully discharged for long periods, or charged outside the stated temperature range;
  • modification, unauthorised repair, de-restriction, or firmware altered outside the manufacturer's tools;
  • commercial, rental or hire use, unless the product is sold for that purpose;
  • cosmetic marks that do not affect function.

3. Battery health

Lithium-ion batteries lose capacity as they are used, this is expected behaviour, not a fault. A battery is considered defective if it fails to hold a charge, will not charge, shows a cell imbalance fault, or loses an abnormal amount of capacity well inside its warranty period. Gradual runtime reduction over hundreds of charge cycles is not covered.

4. Making a claim

  1. Email info@aerosporty.co.uk with your order number, a description of the fault, any error codes, and photographs or a short video where the fault is visible.
  2. We will diagnose remotely where possible, many faults are settings, connectors or chargers.
  3. If the item needs to come in, we arrange collection. Warranty collections are at our cost.
  4. We arrange the repair or replacement with the manufacturer or their service agent and return the item to you. If neither is possible within a reasonable time, we will refund you.

Please keep your proof of purchase, the order confirmation email is enough.

5. Your statutory rights

A warranty is in addition to your legal rights, not instead of them. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, and you may have a remedy for up to 6 years in England, Wales and Northern Ireland (5 years in Scotland) regardless of the warranty period. See ourreturns and refunds policy.

6. Safe use and legality

Warranty cover assumes the product is installed, used and maintained as the manufacturer intends. Damage caused by incorrect installation (for example gas or hard-wired electrical products not fitted by a qualified person), frost damage to hot tubs left filled and unheated, or use contrary to the instructions is not covered.
